The Pesalai Canal Flood Mitigation Project was implemented to reduce the impact of seasonal flooding in the Pesalai area of Mannar.
The project involved the excavation and restoration of a drainage canal network to improve drainage capacity and reduce the accumulation of floodwater during the rainy season.
